Question: My 34 yr old son-in-law is experiencing a severe headache with nausea and vomiting and some right arm numbness which has subsided. He has a history of migraines which occur rarely. He has taken 2 Excedrin-headache with some relief about 4 hours ago. Can he take more Tylenol? The dose taken was 500mg 4 hours ago. Should he go to the hospital?

Brief Answer:
needs a scan

Detailed Answer:
Hi
I am Dr Mittal.
I have read your query.
I think I would be able to help you.
The fact remains that arm numbness is not a usual symptom of migraine. I don't think it's ever been there with him in his prior episodes.
This kind of symptoms usually indicate a brain problem. I would suggest getting a mri brain urgently. Meet a neurologist to get it done.
I have tried to make it as simple as possible. I hope that the information helps you. Please feel free to contact us for more information. Best of luck. Dr Mittal,
