What Causes Severe Hair Loss After Discontinuing Minoxidil?
Question: Hello , me and my wife have been trying to conceive since last few months. My wife has been suffering from severe hairfall recently. Hence we took suggestion from a hair and skin specialist and she started taking biotin supplement and applying minoxidil topical 5% solution. Now we read somewhere that minoxidil is harmful for both pregnant women and women who are trying to conceive. Is it true? should she stop using minoxidil?and what about biotin?Please suggest.

During pregnancy, this product should be used only when clearly needed. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor.In my opinion she should stop to use minoxidil while trying to coneive she can taking biotin.
