Brief Answer:
Go for swab test

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to Healthcare magic
Greetings of the day
Dear Ms

Going by description of red dots it appears to be follicular Pharyngitis. As there is no fever there is no cause for concern. A would suggest you to get a swab test for streptococcal and other atypical infection.

In the meantime I would suggest you the following

1. Warm saline gargling: To a glass of lukewarm water add 2 spoons of common table salt. Make child gargle the throat with it thrice a day.
Being warm and antiseptic it will relieve the throat congestion

2. Normal Saline Nebulization: Plain normal saline Nebulization is equally effective

3. Cough suppressant syrup : If there is no sputum (nonproductive cough ), antitussive will provide much needed relief

4. Make child sip spoon of honey with 2 drops of lemon juice added thrice a day.

Do get back to me if you need any further assistance, will be glad to assist you.

Take care
