What Causes Severe Cough And Vomiting While Sleeping?

Question: Hello, I'm a 21 year old with no major health problems but I feel something usual is happening to me, I don't know what it is but I'm deeply concerned, everytime I go to sleep I have to drink hot tea and apply Vicks vapor rub on my chest, if not I will start to cough intensely, mucus will come from my nose and I would occasionally vomit, sometimes even when I use my tea and vapor rub method it's been going on since last November so it's not a seasonal thing...... It always seem to happen when I'm laying down but does not happen during the day.I'm scared that this could be bad but hopefully it is just my paranoia, what do you think it is and if you know of a way to stop and prevent this, what method should I take

I can understand your situation and problem.
By your history and description, possibility of either bronchitis or congestive cardiac failure is high.
In both these conditions, coughing with congestion and mucus are seen.
So better to consult doctor and get done chest x ray and PFT (Pulmonary Function Test) to rule out bronchitis and ecg to rule out cardiac diseases.
If all these are normal than you are mostly having psychological cough.
So first rule out organic causes for your symptoms and if needed psychiatric consultation is also required.
