What Causes Severe Abdominal Pain While Bending And Walking?

default
Posted on Mon, 29 Jun 2015
Question: hello,
most days i awake feeling fine but lately i get up sometimes with pain in my lower left front quadrant.
and upon standing or bending, lifting, walking it's more painful. i feel okay when sitting.
it seems to go away after a while after using the bathroom (#2). sometimes i get it two days in a row. i wonder if it's some type of diverticulosis and what i'm eating. the last time it happened it was after the evening i ate a t-bone steak for dinner. i awoke with those symptoims and now two days later i feel pretty normal. i didn't have the pain upon rising. and last night i ate fish and spinach for dinner??
i'm afraid to tell my doctors becuase in one week i go or sleeve surgery and don't want anything to postpoine it. what do you think. also, do you think my doctors will see anything upon surgery and possibly fix it. i don't know what to do. they gave me that test where they look inside about 1 1/2 moths ago, there were some red scars there in my colon that they teste for pylori? etc and came back negative. years ago an doctor told me i had ibs and i should try to eat cooked veggies only beucase i was burping all the tmie. tht worked. and even now, if i eat a bananna i get doubled up in cramps. so i know what to eat and what not. however, this new lower pelvic like pain is worryig me, especially since i have the surgery coming up? help.

Brief Answer:
Colitis , may be IBS

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query and an elucidate history.
Read and re-read and got some salient features.
- You have a history of IBS and now going for a sleeve surgery - definitely a cause of tensions sufficient enough to cause mild form of IBS casing the pain in the left lower abdomen. This is one form of colitis and any form of colitis can give the pain as you have explained. The pain goes away after using the bathroom #2. Diverticulosis pain does not go away in this way and have more symptoms.

Fortunately you know which foods suit you and which do not. Must follow it very strictly in a situation when you are going for such a surgery.

You should not hide any history form your TEAM of Doctors, as every minute thing they know will automatically help you only.
Please tell them, let them examine you, let them investigate you if they need to.

All the best for your surgery.
I hope this explains the things you wanted to know, please feel free to ask further relevant queries if you need to or if you feel that there is a gap-of-communication.
