default
Posted on Mon, 31 Aug 2015
Question: I have been diagnosed with sclerosing mesenteritis and my concern is that this is a fairly rare disorder and I am not sure I am getting the best advice possible. What is the best way for me to find out what doctors are experts in SM? I don't expect you to make a referral, I just want to know where to look.

Brief Answer:
Rheumatologist is the prime specialist to look for.

Detailed Answer:
Hi Mam,

I understand your concern.

Sclerosing Mediastinitis has to be treated primarily by a Rheumatologist(aka Connective tissue disorder/CTD specialist).

For which I recommend the following doctor.

Dr. XXXXXXX Setoodeh, MD
2021 XXXXXXX XXXXXXX Blvd Ste 335E XXXXXXX XXXXXXX CA 90404 ,
(310) 701-9790 (Office)
(310) 315-6162 (Fax) .

Doctors who treat autoimmmune and CTD's are the one's you need to look for.

Additionally your condition needs to be simultaneously assessed by a Pulmonologist and a Cardiologist as well.

So always keep in touch with these 3 doctors.

Post your further queries if any.
Thank you.
