Question: Hi, my daughter is 20 years old and sometimes when she exercises she has to stop due to these symptoms. Blood rushes to head, eyes swell and are bloodshot, lips & face swell (lips turn purple), light headed and dizzy and foggy headed. This started happening when she was about 14. It does not happen every time she exercises but the times it does it's always when she is exercising. She had a stress test done and nothing come up. Please help

Brief Answer:
She needs further work up

Detailed Answer:
hello,I am Dr.Rajesh Teli,MD.
Thanks for using HCM.
I have gone through your query.
she needs further work up
kindly get following tests done
1.check her peripheral oxygen while she has these symptoms, this can be done with simple machine called pulss oxymeter available at any hospital.
2.get her x Ray chest PA and. colour doppler Echocardiogram done.
3.Blood tests viz.complete hemogram with ESR.
her normal stress test rules out blockage in heart artery which otherwise also is less likely.
kindly revert back with information asked.
My best wishes
