What Causes Right-sided Vibration Sensation In Groin And Hematoma Behind Right Thigh?
Question: Hello,
In the past few days I have noticed a vibrating sensation deep in my groin on the right side. It is painless and lasts only a moment or two, but comes back rhythmically and seems almost exercise induced, or pulse-rate related. I am a 54-year old female, very active, healthy weight, peri-menopausal, and had my saphenous vein in my right leg removed about 20 years ago. A few weeks ago I got a significant scrape and hematoma on the back of my right thigh, but it is healing well. Could the vibrations and the injury perhaps be related? Many thanks in advance for your attention to this question.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I understand your concerns about vibrations.
What you are experiencing are twitching sensation of the muscle.
This sensation happens when there is healing from an injury as you have mentioned. This is happening as there is healing process and hematoma is resolving.
It is normal and there is nothing to worry about.

Dr. Soumya
