What Causes Respiratory Track Infection In A Child After A Vaccination?

Question: My son received his second pneumoccocal vaccine and his second polio vaccine about 3 weeks ago. 6 days after getting the vaccines, he got sick with a respiratory infection. After 3 days of being sick, he was put on an antibiotic called Suprax for 10 days. This antibiotic treats diseases caused by the pneumoccocal bacteria. My question is, will this decrease his antibody production from the vaccine? Could the sickness and the antibiotic counteract with the vaccine and cause it to be less productive?

I am going to answer your queries one by one.
Antibiotics can treat respiratory tract infections caused by various types of bacteria including pneumonia.
Antibiotics won't interfere the action and mechanism of the pneumococcal vaccine.
These vaccines produce antibodies in blood which counter the pneumonia bacteria.
Pneumococcal vaccine protects against 13 types of pneumonia bacteria and not all pneumonia bacteria.
Neither the sickness or disease or antibiotics will render he vaccine less effective.
Relax and don't worry.Vaccine is doing its work.
Keep giving the antibiotics to your child as advised.
Don't stop them of your own.
