Brief Answer:
Not a case of sleepless

Detailed Answer:
Hi Sir,
I have gone through your query; it suggest that it is not the case of sleepless. Most probably it maybe due to the ulcer in the mouth. Most of the cases in your age group is due to the aphthous ulcer.

Mouth breathing is not the normal condition in your age group.

For your kind information aphthous ulcer are recurrent painful ulcer mostly due to the deficiencies of vitamins, minerals or hormonal changes.

In this condition I personally advised
1. Probiotic such as Vizylac rich once a day.
2. Tablet Folic acid twice a day.
3. Hexidine mouth gargles
Continue the above mentioned treatment for at least 15 days after consulting with your doctor.

If the condition not improved then go for the oral examination by the ENT specialist and go for the blood examination for minerals, vitamins, haemoglobin and blood sugar if necessary.

Brief Answer:
Either due to the excess saliva production or impaired swallowing of saliva

Detailed Answer:
Hi Sir,

I have gone through your follow up query; and for your kind information drooling of saliva during sleep maybe either due to the excess saliva production or impaired swallowing of saliva.

Excess saliva production can be seen with some drugs, irritants such as capsaicin.

Impaired swallowing can be seen with some infection such as pharyngitis, tonsillitis, glottitis i.e. infection of inner mouth.

Impaired swallowing can also be seen with neurological conditions such as weakness of mouth or cheek muscles.

But in some normal cases it may be either due to the sleeping in side posture or mouth opening condition. It can also be dental issues which is better dealt by dentists.

If your condition not improved after sleeping on back instead of side and mouth closed position then better to consult with your ENT specialist for better diagnosis and management.
