What Causes Redness On The Feet While On Hydralazine?

Question: Have been onHydralazine for four days. Have a little water retention. Soles of my feet are Red.

Hydralazine is a direct vasodilator that dilates arterioles with little effect on veins thus decreasing blood pressure. Peripheral edema, flushing and arthralgia are associated side effects with hydralazine. The effects that you mentioned are expected initially and the drug can be continued for now.
