Question: Hi I'm 19.
I just recently ripped my contact lense inside my eye as in when I took my lense out it was more than half but bit ripped so I kept it aside and starting searching for the remaining little lense piece I tried a lot but nothing came out.My eye turned red from the bottom I still wore another pair that day for a bit when I took it out I expected the previous lense piece would come out it still did not but my eye (it's the left eye) was sore and red it felt like there's something so I tried again nothing came out so I slept and the next day tried with the contact lense solution anyhow nothing came out I felt like the redness was gone the third day it's been a week now my eye looks clear but I just feel itchy in the lower part of the eye I have had corneal ulcer when I was 15 again due to contact lenses and the symptoms were wild I just don't feel that in my eye except that when I really squeeze my eye I feel something like a foreign body and sometimes I feel itchy too but it's nothing that would make me just sit down and stop everything I'm not sure what it is or if my eye has healed yet or not I haven't gone to the eye doctor because the wait is quite long and I don't wana make it an ER thing either

Brief Answer:
It is unlikely for the part of the lens to be present in the eye.

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Welcome to Health care Magic.

I am Dr. DADAPEER K, an Ophthalmologist and I will be answering your question.

I reviewed your history.

It is unlikely that a part of the contact lens is still present in the eye. It is most likely that you have injured causing abrasion in the conjunctiva and this may be the reason for your redness.
Since it would have healed by now the redness has decreased.

You can use antibiotic eye drops like Moxifloxacin eye drops for 3-5 days.
If the symptoms still persist then you need to consult your eye doctor for evaluation.

Hope this answers your question and the information is helpful to you.
