What Causes Reddish Discoloration On The Testicles?

Question: My skin on my testicles is reddish. It doesn't itch, hurt, there are no sores or peeling, flaking etc. I was diagnosed as being exposed to HSV 1 and 2 in September and have had none of the classic outbreaks. I don't know if this redness is related to HSV as I've described it or if it something else. Actually I'm not really sure how long I've had this cause it's most pronounced on the anal side of my testicles. I have a pic oh the scrotum only if I can get to you.

I might add that occasionally there is a sensation of very mild pins and needles
