Question: I noticed red bumps at the crown part of the head of my penis while masturbating. They are red and not painful just really concerning. Is it possible it is balanitis?

Brief Answer:
What did you use as lub? Any recent changes?

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about these bumps that you have reported. I have reviewed the information fully. I have also reviewed the attached image. This looks like a reaction to a locally applied substance. This would most likely be the lube used. I will like to know whether there has been any change in this or not. If there has been a recent change, I will suggest that you take a pause. The images don't suggest balanitis. However, if the frequency of masturbation is much like daily, then you may consider reducing the frequency. At this time, stop any further masturbation until healing is complete. For now, monitor only and report the progress to me. There is no need for immediate drug products at this time. I will like to review images at 24hours and then at 72hours if all is okay.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to ask of more information and clarifications if need be.

I did not use lube just saliva. I do masturbate on a daily basis and wonder if i could have damaged blood vessels if I had masturbated to long. There is no discomfort but i will not masturbate and see how things progress.

I uploaded a different pic and it seems like it is going away. I have been using a steroid cream and it's been a few days. Hopefully it clears up soon.
