What Causes Red Spots On Chest, Neck And Face?

default
Posted on Thu, 11 Dec 2014
Question: I have small red bumps/dots appearing allover my chest, neck and face. When pressed they "disappear" or turn white. They do not itch... Some of them look like they have some sort of white filling or a "head" on them.. only a couple. No changes in lifestyle, no medication. A month ago I had a staph infection on my knee and butt that required antibiotic shots and oral antibiotics, then 2 weeks ago had a infected pimple like thing on my face, then a week ago a stye in the eye... not sure if they relate to anything but just saying. I am 30, male, non smoker... also Im not sure if it matters but i was an alcoholic and smoker for 10 years, and haven't smoked or drank in exactly 2 months.

my ideas were either flea bites or scabies... are there any ways to distinguish if it is fleas or not?

Brief Answer:
Body acne ,infection

Detailed Answer:
Hi again

You seem to be developing acneiform lesions .
Such lesions tend to occur over chest ,upper back, face ,upper arms and sometimes over the gluteal region as well .
Basically they tend to occur in certain predisposed people with oily skin.
.
Apply a topical antibiotic cream like neosporin or mupirocin over the lesion twice daily.
Do not apply any other cream or oil over the affected area.
You might need a course of oral antibiotics if the lesion still tends to persist or increase.
