Question: I periodically smoke and usually have 3 glasses of white wine a night but with ice cubes in them. Lately I have noticed the pours on my nose widening and a occasional red spot. No vein problem.
I have spent a lot of time in the sun in my 67 years.

Is this a skin problem or what is known as drinkers nose or is it caused by smoking or a combination of both.

is there any king of cream or special oil I can apply to take this away as well as quitting wine and occasional smoking?

It is not bright red and as I said nor has red vines(s). It just pours have expanded and in a magnifying mirror it is obvious. ? 1) is their no oil to apply that will help.
2) I will look up the meaning of the condition and of course stop the occasional smoking, and as I said I spent a lot of time in sun. 3) what type of doctor would I see to get a proper diagnosis and to get rid of or to stop it is there surgery involved or is it cured or help to be less noticeable by some form of medicinal cream or oil and or certain food? Thanks

this occurs most on the oiliest skin (around the nose).
It is also called rosacea.
While one could use steroid cremes, they are not thought to be effective.
A dermatologist can give a second opinion.

Hi, I recently been diagnosed with rosacea and ocular rosacea. I have facial redness and little bumps. My eyes are dry and with puffy eyelids. I am extremely sensitive to antibiotics so prescription treatment is not recommended for me at this time. Are there lotions, cleansers, over the counter aids that may help my face and eyes? The only time my rosacea is unnoticeable is when I m freezing cold. Any advice is most appreciated.

Hi,I m 18, about to be 19, and I have been masturbating for about 2 years now. It started out about once or twice a week, then increased to about 4 or 5 times a week. After a few weeks (maybe 2 or 3 weeks of this schedule), I noticed redness on my cheeks. I decreased my schedule to about 1-3 times a week and even tried to stop completely for a few weeks, but it didn t help. I use prescribed cream from my dermatologist for it (rosacea) but it doesn t completely get rid of the redness. Can you help?

I have rosacea, i have noticed the tip of my nose getting bigger. Why is this? I work in a refrigerated environment and experience red flare up in my face as soon as i leave work everyday. This is the only symptom i have. Does rosacea make the nose tip bigger? Can i prevent this? I am a 29 year old female.
