Question: I am just getting over a case of shingles, and now I have broken out with a red rash all over my upper body.
This rash itches like crazy. Could this be connected XXXXXXX Young

In some persons scabies can be associated with hives or urticarial wheals which usually resolve after some time.
You can take antihistaminics like tablet cetrizine 10 mg twice daily and apply soothing lotion like calamine lotion in the affected areas twice daily for 10-14 days.
This will help in subsiding your rash.
