What Causes Red Blotches On Tip Of Penis?

default
Posted on Mon, 6 Apr 2015
Question: Hi there.

I had unprotected sex with a girl about a month ago. Ever since I have had red blotches on my penis head and on the underside of my foreskin. Some times dots but most of the time blotchy patches.

When I apply hydrocortisone 1 percent cream the redness dissapears but then comes back
after I stop using it.

it is not an std because I have been tested for everything and it come back negative.

Could this be thrush?

Also I do have eczema on my penis shaft which I have had for over a year but I do not think this is related.

I only have 2 follow up questions.

how do I upload a photo on here?

Not really any symptoms. Sometimes itches but very rarely.

It gets worse after I masturbate.

It has been coming and going since I had sex 5 weeks ago. It goes away after a few days of using hydrocortisone but then comes back a day or 2 later after I stop using it.

and I dont think I have diabetes or any other disease as far am I am awarem

Wear loose cotton inner wears.
Do not cause irritation or friction.
Clean area with warm water twice daily.
Do not use harsh soaps.
I would have advised topical antifungal cream like clotrimazole ( candid) cream.
If need be oral antifungal like flucanazole 150 mg weekly once for 4 weeks.
Treat partner if any for fungal infection.
Avoid intercourse for now.

is masturbation likely to make the irritation worse and more inflamed?

Because I have noticed that when I masturbate it flares up.
