Posted on Fri, 23 May 2014
Question: Hello Dr. Hope this email finds you well.

I visited you at your clinic in Apollo hospital in Hyderabad in Aug 2013.

MRI and other tests was done and results come up that I have white matters in brain.

Since I left India last Aug and commleted medical tests and medication in India and Bahrain my headache symptoms was stable and was decreasing I was really happy about it. Local hospital did blood tests in Nov or Dec 2013 and found out vitamin D is less. I was taking vitamin D and completed the required course for 2 months. Last week I had very unusual scary dream at 2 o'clock in the morning and I screamed hard during the dream even my voice changed after I wake up it was very disturbaning. After 2-3 days my headache symptoms attacked me hard and now my headache increased.

What do you suggest me to do? Do you think the brain disturbance help to wake up the headache symptoms?

Thank you.

Regards,
XXXX

Brief Answer:
It could be recurrence of the same symptoms.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX

Thank you for getting back and posting your query.

I have noted your past symptoms, treatment and the current symptoms.

It is most likely that your symptoms suggest a relapse of same problem, which you had in last August 2013. However, I expect it to be of lesser severity and you should improve fast.

As of now, you can start NAPROXEN tablets twice daily. If you were treated by me, I would usually start a dose of 250 mg two times daily after food. I would advise it to be used for 10 days and ask you to come for review.

If the symptoms (headache) persist beyond 10 days, only then, I would go for repeating the MRI scan of brain.

I hope my reply has helped you.

I would be pleased to answer, if you have any follow up queries or if you require any further information.

Yes, most likely, the brain disturbance has helped to wake up the headache symptoms.

No, your symptoms would not be there for ever. We expect you to get better soon. This is because you had mild disease, and not severe.
