Question: I catch cold very often infact there are few days in a year when I don't catch cold. This could be partly due to my Allergy to dust. But even without exposure to dust I catch clod very easily.
Brief Answer:
Certainly there are other factors....
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Allergy is one common cause of recurring rhinnitis. However there are many more other causes. Seasonal changes, vasomotor changes and even preexisting nasal conditions can make you prone to frequency nasal congestion. Though most of these factors are either environmental or in your genes where specific treatment rarely exists, some patients feel better after treating preexisting nasal conditions. You should discuss with the ENT doctor to know if you need any such specific treatments.
If no specific treatable conditions are found, you will need to keep away from dust, be well protected during seasonal changes especially during cold and rainy weather, drink lots of fluids and include plenty of fruits and vegetables. You can also explore alternative therapies - herbal or homeopathy and see if it helps.
Hope I answered your question.

Since your are suggesting to include plenty of fruits and vegetables, is it possible that it is due to lack of some vitamins or minerals in the body. If so how to identify such deficiencies?
Brief Answer:
No....
Detailed Answer:
Vitamin and mineral is believed to improve your resistance to fight common infections. There are various anecdotal evidences to prove its ability to fight infection and allergies.
Specific deficiencies can only be identified with vitamin level tests (blood tests).
