What Causes Rashes On The Left Knee?

default
Posted on Sat, 18 Nov 2017
Question: I have 2 swollen ankles overnight with a rash. Then during the night I bumped my left knee without an ACL, lightly on corner of bed during night. can these 2 things be related? I do have an allergy to crustaceans and maybe something in my dinner last night has that?It is odd that my ankles swell during the night after dinner. then during the night my left knee really swells up after a light bump on the knee? could it be a blood clot? I am very healthy, work out 3 plus/week not overweight.?

Brief Answer:
Blood clot not likely.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The swollen ankles with a rash are likely to be related to an allergic reaction may be related to something you had for dinner. The pain and swelling in the knee can be related to a soft tissue injury of the knee. Any blood clot is less likely. Do wait for it to subside on its own in next 2-3 days with rest and ice. In case the pain and swelling increases then do consult an orthopedician for examination and proper investigations.
I hope this answers your query.
