Antibiotics should help

Detailed Answer:
Hello Dear

Welcome to this portal.
I am Dr V XXXXXXX a Dermatologist

I have noted your complaints and history of medication.
I will do my best to help resolve the problem at hand, which is likely to be due to an infection by bacteria.

To confirm my diagnosis and before you start the treatment, I suggest you to please upload a picture of the affected area.

In my patients, I use the following measures with success:

1 Clean the area frequently with plain water and apply Mupirocin cream thrice a day

2 Suitable antibiotic like Amoxicillin and Clavulanate combination 375 mg three times a day. Tenderness implies formation of pus as the commonest cause

3 Anti-inflammatory like Ibuprofen 200 mg three times a day, after food.

It might take some days before the bump starts receding while immediate relief in pain or tenderness can be expected before that.

Hope you will make the best use of suggestions and let me know of any further concerns.

Best wishes always!
