What Causes Pulsating Sensation In Right Arm ?

Posted on Sat, 25 Oct 2014
Question: I visited the dr today. He gave me something for stress and anxiety ...my question is I have been under extreme stress and anxiety in the last few months. I have been waking up at night with a trembling feeling all over my body from my head to my limbs and a pulse like or pulsating in my right arm. My BP was good and not high. Actually a little low. And my heart rate was great. I am concerned with the right arm pulsating. It doesn't hurt just a weird sensation. Can this be related to the stress. As well as the internal trembling feelings ?

Brief Answer:
related symptom

Detailed Answer:
I am Dr Mittal. I have read your query.

The possibility of the symptoms that you have mentioned being connected to the anxiety is a definite possibility.

However, I have found that the practice of labelling the symptoms on your anxiety have always been a step back. I think I will therefore suggest a few test before you are attributed the anxiety induced symptoms.

An ecg, sugars, thyroids, hb, and X ray of the cervical spine.

I have tried to make sure that you have maximum benefit from the query. Please feel free to contact us for more information on the subject.

Best of luck.
Dr Mittal.
