Question: Since my gallbladder was taken out I have acquired bad skin problems such as psoriasis and vitiligo. Is there a supplement I can take to simulate the benefit of the gallbladder?

Brief Answer:
Cholecystectomy unrelated to skin condition

Detailed Answer:
Welcome to Healthcare-Magic
Greetings of the day
Dear Ms

Surgical removal of gall bladder or Cholecystectomy is unrelated to occurrence of any skin condition.
The major function of gall bladder is storage and concentration of bile. In the absence of it the function is taken over by common bile duct. There is no need for boosting up of its function.

Do get back to me if you need any further assistance, will be glad to assist you.

Take care

hello doc i m frm India(19 years - male). i ve got vitiligo in 80% of my body like above eyelid, knees, small areas around bones in ankles, and nipples. Darmatologists prescibed me trioxalen usp 25mg, tacrolimus .1% , mometasone furoate .1% usp, nb uv-b,etc. After 2 months of treatment, there s no change in vitiligo size but get reddish pink. Doc substituted mometasone with halobatasol propionate .05% due to low stock of mometasone in govt hosp and skin started peeling off nipples as a result to inc vil. size and no were else. So doc stopped tacrolimus ointment . But skin is still peeling off my nipples and size is increasing. What to do ??? Should i use tacrolimus and insist using mometasone furoate.. PLZ HELP

About a year ago, I started seeing white spots on my legs...they have multiplied rapidly. The dermatologist diagnosed it as Vitiligo. I am currently applying Pigmento ointment (charak). I was sent Vitiligo 30 sublingual pills from Biogetica, as well as Pigmento Tablets. I am a breast cancer survivor (2), and have had reconstruction. I am 68, and 5 4 tall...weigh 154 lbs. I am really scared to ingest the pills for fear that it will do liver damage. One of the pills contain Arsen Sulph . How harmful is this? Please advise. Thank you. Juliet

Hi- My son was born with a white spot on his forehead and 5 weeks after birth he got another white spot on his belly button and on the 6th week after birth he got white spots on both legs from above the knee to his shin. Two months after my son was born, the spot on his forehead shrunk to the size of a quarter piece. We were sent to a dermatologist where he was diagnosed with Vitiligo. The dermatologist at the time said my son was very special because he was born with Vitiligo (the spot on his forehead). The dermatologist has now left her practice to do research and we had to see another dermatologist. After visiting the new dermatologist (3.5 years after my son s birth), she said we ve been treating him for the wrong skin condition. This new doctor said it is Piebaldism. None of my family or my husband s family have Piebaldism or Vitiligo. She wants to perform a blood test for Piebaldism, but I want to know what are the chances that it could be either or? and if I have another child will have either one? At this point, our dermatologist could not do a blood test because only a limited amount of labs can run a test like this, do you know what is needed? The doctor also said that whether my son has Piebaldism or Vitiligo it would be an usual case. Could it be something else?

Hi. my name is merci wood. I wanted to know what s the chances of having vitiligo if a parent has it. I m 17 years of age, and have no signs of vitiligo marks on my body, however I did have very bad eczema as a child but it has cleared over time and I haven t had it since I was in elementary school. I m a junior in high school now. I just recently got in touch with my real dad and discovered that he has vitiligo. I m not sure how long he s had it but I ve seen pics of him at age 37 with very few vitiligo markings and he s 38 now and it s getting worse in taking over his body. I m very scared, he has 2 other children both younger than I am. am I at risk, should I be worried ? I take good care of my skin, my skin is in very good condition haven t had any eczema, only puberty bumps every now and than. please consult me....
