What Causes Prostatic Secretions In Urine?

default
Posted on Wed, 1 Feb 2017
Question: I keep having prostatic discharge when I pee, maybe once or twice a day. I was tested for a UTI, as well as Chlamydia and gonorrhea and all tests came back negative. I am sexually active and have sex usually several times per week. I use the start stop method or edging to last longer while having intercourse or while masturbating, and I'm wondering if this is the cause of the discharge.
I usually have an orgasm and release semen when I have intercourse or masturbate.

Brief Answer:
What do you mean by prostatic discharge? Can you specify this?

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I am afraid this question isn’t clear for proper understanding and response. Prostatic discharge is not a commonly used medical term and am not sure what you really mean by this. I will suggest that in simpler terms, you simply describe what you are experiencing so that I can understand and provide helpful response to you.

I hope to hear back from you!

By prostatic discharge, I mean discharge from the prostate.
it is white, thick discharge that doesn't have a smell and resembles semen.

Brief Answer:
I wouldn’t bother at this time. Probably urethra secretions!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

From all the details, there is really nothing concerning at this time.

My thought is that these are secretions from urethra that show up. The frequent masturbation episodes might be a contributing factor to this. With preliminary tests all negative, I'd say observe only and report if any new symptoms do arise.

I wish you well. Feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.

Regards

the only thing that still concerns me is that the secretions happens more often when I am making a bowel movement (and there is pressure applied on my prostate). And sometimes I feel as though I haven't fully emptied my bladder after I finish peeing, and after waiting a bit, a little more urine mixed with the secretion will dribble out.

Brief Answer:
At your age, incomplete voiding of urine is a very rare occurrence!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Your age makes this feeling of not fully emptied bladder very unlikely. I will like to know if this happens most of the times of rarely. I am leaning more towards this being a conscious feeling than a disease condition as you have no risk factors to suggest this. I will want that you monitor and report with precision how often this occurs and how worrisome it is to you.

I hope to hear from you!
