Brief Answer:
Prolactinoma causes loss of body hair and not excess hair growth

Detailed Answer:
Hello thanks for asking from HCM for your health related queries

I can understand your concern. Coming straight to your question. Prolactinoma is a tumour of Pituitary gland which secretes Prolactin. Prolactin is a hormone that is responsible for a number of actions in body in both males and females.

Excess prolactin in males is responsible for erectile dysfunction, discharge from nipples, loss of libido. In females excess prolactin may result in galactorrhea or milk discharge from breasts, loss of ancillary hair, amenorrhea etc symptoms. So in my opinion the condition can cause loss of hair and unwanted facial hair dont usually occur due to Prolactinoma.

A lot of other hormonal conditions in females can cause excess hair growth like Tumours of Ovaries, Poly cystic ovarian syndrome, Adrenal Gland Tumour, Acromegaly, Cushings syndrome etc. But in my opinion excess facial hair are not seen in Prolactinoma.

Thanks, I hope this helps you. Please feel free to ask again for more doubts.

Take care
