Question: Appeal The Sky Is unable To Answer; Appeal The Earth Is Unable To Hear

I slipped on a fruit, flew in the air and landed on my kn on a sidewalk in Manhattan. I sought medical help and later I went for physical therapy. I also saw an acupuncturist who worked on me. Until May 17th, he did an electric acupuncture without my knowing. He inserted a needle in my left foot, one on the left side and another one on the right side of my left leg. Everything came so fast; he on and off the machine three times. I cried out in pain three times. My whole abdomen was so contracted, I couldn't open my fingers and my brain felt so cramp and painful that I screamed and cried out 3 times because of the acute pain. I went to the emergency room and felt a strong current flowing from the bottom of my spine to my face and right eye. Later I was not able to sit and felt numbness on my face. The doctor gave me 5 heat pads to heal my swollen leg on my left side but did not do any further treatment and discharged me the same day.

From that night, my life has been a nightmare. I couldn't sleep and have excessive sweating that my hair became so wet like I just came out from a pool. The next morning my whole body "blew up" including my eyes. When I look at objects far, they are like hanging/shaking in the air. When I walked I felt I was floating without gravity. I was extremely thirsty and felt my skin was so dry. When I was having my breakfast, I would hear loud sounds in my chest; and also like something travelling from the left to right and from the right to the left and also making a U turn in my head. I quickly called an ambulance and was not able talk well.

When I was admitted to hospital they didn't look into the diagnosis but instead noted that I had diabetes more than 200 and high blood pressure also 220 and I was discharged in the afternoon. The next day, I went to my Primary Doctor; I was very weak, my brain and heart were a mess and I was having difficulty walking and I was admitted to Emergency RM. The doctor in the Emergency Room found I had no diabetes and my blood pressure was OK. I told the doctor, I felt sharp pain in my heart when I heard noise or people having conservation. The doctor think I have nerve problem and my Primary Doctor thought the same.

When I went to see a Neurologist in a hospital in Manhattan, the Neurologist examined my eyes and my blood pressure was 175. He didn’t give me EKG, but he said there were too many activities inside my brain and prescribed me sleeping pills to let me sleep and wanted me to return two weeks later. When I went back to see him, he said I was getting better and gave me add more pills. I told him I wasn't better and that I felt depressed when taking the medicine and I still had a headache and was sweating. I also told him my leg was still swollen. Neverthless, I still continued to take the pill, but found it useless. I called my Primary Doctor to make appointment, but the office people asked my name and said there was no appointment and I have to call back 3 months later.

I went back to see my old Primary Doctor and told him my symptoms from the acupuncture. He ignored the issue that I lost more than 15 lbs and I told him I couldn't see well and always feel thirsty (I drink more than 24 oz of water at one time and cannot stop my thirst). He said he can only take care of 3 symptoms and kept thinking I have breast and diabetes and wanted me to take pills for it. I told him the blood work was not accurate as it was done after an hour of my meal.

It is very difficult to book appointment for my Primary Doctor as he come to Manhattan one day a week. So I went to see an Asian doctor. However, he didn't believe a small needle can cause me so many symptoms and every day headaches, dizziness. He ignored and wanted me to take blood work and said I have liver problem, but my liver come out OK. He thinks I have mental illness and wanted to refer me to see a psychiatrist. When I do not buy it, he said he has seen many people like me and other doctors will say the same thing.

If one good caring doctor can give me a correct diagnosis; I do not have to go one doctor to another. I have seen more than 25 doctors with different specialty. I spent a lot of money in co-payments, and treatment (each time co-payment is $50 and sometimes my insurance does not pay have fully coverage for the x-ray and MRI and now I am broke, admission for the hospital is $500 each time) I was admitted to Emergency Room 4 times. They didn't believe I suffered from so much pain and when they couldn't take care of me some said I have depression or anxiety

Some doctors know something is wrong in my body but cannot find any clues and they dismissed me from their office. (Only one elderly doctor saw I was in such pain in his office when I showed him how I had to kneel down and sleep for 1 hour every night. He almost cried. He refused to charge me the $50 copayment as he couldn't treat me because he told me it was not his specialty. All of the doctors did not listen and dismissed me.

I lost 35 lbs in 2 to 3 months. I am fatigued, weak have no energy, constipated. The pain is burning, pinching, boiling, pulling in my joints, muscles, head all over my body (except hair and nails). My hair fall a lot every day. Even when I lay down at night, I cannot relax as something like the nerve is pulling me up from my head. After 6 months, I realized if I make some adjustment on my neck I can breathe better. However, if I sleep on lay on the right head, near my head become convase when the nerve was pulling me and my eyes are so in pain and I have flashes on my right eye. And when I sleep on the left head, my ear will give me problem, makes so much noise. I feel there is also mislocation of the vein in my neck as I also found out the two big veins on the right and left neck to the shoulder always pop up in the morning when I wake up. The pain can move around from here to there but some spots occur every day a few times like the right abdomen below the rib. I had a C-section many years ago and didn't take any pain killer. The pain today is worse and are so acute and hard to bear.

My mouth is bitter and always has a funny taste. I feel my head is smaller and my gum also shrinking and my teeth shakes. I have dryness and numbness on my head, face, mouth, eyes, nose, legs, hands. I have nose bleed some mornings when I wake up. I also feel I have pinched nerve in my body and right eye and both eyes are always so red and painful every morning. When I turn my head, I can hear noises in my ear, and my right eye is in pain with all blood vessel every morning. I feel there are blockages in my left chest and I have to rub against my left back on the edge of the door to release gas. I can burp 1000 times a day to release gas. Even though I eat little my stomach can be bloated. I have blockages in my nose and neck when I lay down. I also have a lot of gas every where in my body; the gas go higher and higher now in my neck. I can't sleep long as it gets block and my neck becomes hard and I have to wake up. When I showed doctors that I have a lymph node in my left neck, they refuse to feel it and reply that it is muscle, but my friends and I are 100% sure that it is not muscle. I am discouraged and I do not know whether there are any doctors who are caring enough to help me. I do not know what else can I say but cried deeply in my heart: I had a conservation with the ENT Doctor's Assistant; and found out recently: instead of biopsy the lymph node in my left neck they mistaken and biopsy my salivary gland. After seeing several doctors for the past 8 months, I feel doctors are not humble, not good listeners and do not really care for their patients but only our insurance. I am sorry I have to say that after I have gone through so much suffering and how doctors treated me even though I kept telling them if you cannot cure me, as you are in this field you may ask/consult other doctors/coworkers who know how to cure my illnesses. They told me they cannot help me, but charge me $50 and claim my insurance. I think if I was in Asia, I would have already been cured. I want to go there, but I have no confidence I can get on a plane. When I am in such pain I pray to die. I live in NYC. I am very sick and please contact me only if you think you can cure/help me with my illnesses.

Brief Answer:
Assessment.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I really empathize the situation you are in. you seem to have multitude of the symptoms and would not relate to one system clearly. If a person has multitude of symptoms and do not relate to any specific disease process or if the person blood work is fine the doctors would easily label to stress factor. The stress factor could be due to anxiety, depression. Hence they generally refer to a Psychiatric assessment.

You should understand we need a thorough history in this case and need to carefully examine to diagnose esp with multiple symptoms. he knee pain swelling would not last for so long in an organic disease.

Some of your doctors asked for any psychiatric assessment, I do not mean to hurt you, consider it with positive attitude. If the Psychiatric assessment turn out to be negative you can go back to your regular primary care with the report and he cannot turn you down this time.

Sleep over this thought.
