default
Posted on Mon, 22 May 2017
Question: Hi, for four months now I have this feeling of something in my ear i.e. pressure, fullness, aces, burning and sometimes as if something is trying to crawl out. I have seen two Dr's, been on two different antibiotics and am now seeing and ENT he has looked inside with the microscope and sees only scar tissue. He is not sure what the problem is. Have you ever seen or heard this from any of your patients?

Brief Answer:
Ear infection

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for your query on HCM

I do understand your concern

As per your question you have already endeavored antibiotics as well as physical examination has been done by your ENT doctor but as per your description it is a fungal infection known as [Otomycosis]so you can use any anti fungal ear drops like [clotrimazole & lidocaine hydrochloride] for 2 weeks and tell your doctor to clean ear canal in a solution containing acetic acid 2% and isopropyl alcohol 70% and this will prevent reinfection further.

Hope that helps
