Brief Answer:
Dyspnea, needs work up and evaluation

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and i understand your concern. Not able to breath in enough is called Dyspnea also called air hunger and is a sign of some pathology underneath. With cough in recent history first thing that comes to mind is some acute respiratory illness that can cause shortness of breath.

With no prior history of asthma or any other lung disease or history of smoking COPD is less likely. Anemia can also cause shortness of breath. You do not have any heart problem so that can still be considered too in differentials of this dyspnea.

Nutshell you need work up and consult with an internist to sort it out for the cause which either lies in the heart or lungs or blood. I hope it helps. take good care of yourself and don't forget to close the discussion please.
