What Causes Pressure And Vibrating Feeling In The Chest?

Question: r 2 weeks n9w i have experience pressure and bizzing across my chest. i cant sleep from it. i suffer fron ectopocs but this feels.differnt. went dr she saod my bp amd hr was ok. i am on thyroxine and iron tablets worried its something serious bizzing is worse when trying to sleep and laying down.

im 34 f Havre been on thyroxine for 5 yrs worh level monitored every 3 months. no smoking or drinking. in the lasr yr have had echo syress ecg holter woth diagnosis of ECTOPICS.

Considering all the details provided by you I would like to tell you that if ectopics start happening frequently then they does pose a feeling of pressure on the chest and uneasiness.

As your stress test and Holter reports were normal except for ectopics then the only reasons which seems likely is the inadequate thyroid hormonal control or increased levels of stress or anxiety.

When lately did you checked your thyroid status and how was the results? ?

If the results were normal I would like to suggest you to take a trial of beta blockers for couple of months as they will help control these ectopics and make you feel comfortable.

If the perception of ectopics are different than before then it's advisable to get an ECG and a ambulatory Holter monitoring repeated again to check for any transient rhythm abnormality showing up.

If that's the case then it has to be dealt in a different way.

can ypu have an abnormal rhythm( eg afib my heart rate is always ssteady amd never over 100?? can it be steady and have a arrhythmia?

AF can present in two ways

1. AF with fast ventricular rate

2. AF with slow ventricular rate

If you are feeling that the ectopics are happening in a different way then as I said kindly get an ECG and a Holter monitoring done.
