What Causes Post Nasal Drip, Yellow Tongue, Red Spots And Muscle Twitches?

Question: Dear Doctor....one year ago (July 2013), I had a high risk exposure when a condom broke.....Since XXXXXXX 2014, I have taken 3 4th Generation HIV tests done by two different laboratories (Labcorp and Mid-America Clinical Lab)....Over the last several months, I've had consistent post nasal drip, yellow tongue, brown/red spots randomly on skin, and muscle twitches, mainly during the night when going to sleep....I also have a feeling of something stuck in my throat, but have since has a DR. scope it and she saw nothing wrong....All of my HIV tests are non-reactive, but it seems odd that I have so many HIV related symptoms and this has me very worried....In between the three 4th Gen HIV tests, I've taken three Orasure oral tests and they are all negative....Help!

Thank you...the only other question I have is the detection of antibodies by the tests....is it possible that my immune system is depressed and my body is not making antibodies? My WBC count is very low normal range....I also hear ringing in my ears and my left lympnode in neck is sore....Would I be sick if I were at the stage where my body was not making HIV antibodies?

For confirmation get tested for HIV DNA PCR.

Hello XXXX,

- It is possible to have false negative result with this 3rd and 4th generation ELISA test in the terminal stage of the disease, but it requires at least 4 to 5 years to reach at this stage. It wont come in one year only as in your case.

- You can test for the HIV DNA PCR if you are strongly suspecting AIDS. It is a confirmatory test for HIV.

- The progression of HIV is measures by CD4 count not by WBC count.

Thank you....would I know if I were in the stage where no antibodies are being produced and do any of my symptoms relate to late stage HIV? I feel fine and have plenty of energy to do normal daily tasks.

- If antibody production is stopped you must have multiple opportunistic infection.
