Question: Wife has finished menopause; woke up with some vaginal bleeding. She has been experiencing back pain . She also has hemeroidal symptoms. She is 56 years old; Non smoker approximately 5"6" 125 lbs and exercises 3-4 times a week. Was under stress the last few weeks with possible layoffs at work and putting on our daughters wedding. She is nurse and will be seeing a doctor at work along with her gynocologist.

Post menopausal bleeding needs early evaluation so she should get a transvaginal ultrasound at the earliest.
It is to see the thickness of endometrium and any other pathology if present.
In case the bleeding is excessive then she should take tablet tranexemic acid thrice a day till it stops.
