What Causes Poitive For Oxmor In Urine Test?

default
Posted on Wed, 23 Jul 2014
Question: Hello, I am trying to understand a urinalysis result from one of my squad members. The result said she tested positive for Oxmor 157. She has a legitimate prescription for hydrocodone, but I can't figure out the specific drug that the result indicates. Her career is on the line for this, and I'm wondering if one of hydrocodone's metabolites could indicate another drug. Thank you for your time.

Brief Answer:
Yes it does

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for choosing health care magic for posting your query.

I have gone through your question in detail and I can understand what you are going through.

Although urine test is a sensitive test for detecting drug and its metabolites, it is not very sensitive. The urine test is showing a steroid metabolite called oxmorph which can also appear with the use of hydrocodone. So its difficult to blame her for sure.

The better way would be to recheck her with hair sample whch is still quite specific. That may help in clarifying the things.

Hope I am able to answer your concerns.

If you have any further query, I would be glad to help you.
