What causes pinkish mark on penis head post unprotected sex?

Question: I had unprotected sex 10 days ago. I now have a slight oval shaped pink mark on the head of my penis. It does not itch. There is no pain. At first I thought it was just an abrasion from sex but it doesn't seem to be going away. I have gotten tested for Herpes, HIV and Syphilis all negative. I will send a picture if you tell how you would like to receive it.
The red area is not raised. It is level with the surrounding tissue. If I run my finger over it I cannot feel it. I have added pictures to aid in diagnoses.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Welcome and thanks for posting your query to the forum.

I can understand your concern for the reddish pink mark on the glans penis area. I have gone through your complete query with diligence and analyzed the pictures.

After proper analysis of the complete condition let me reassure you first that area appears to be normal simple post inflammatory hyper-pigmentation.

To tell you simply about this condition: Our penile skin is the thinnest skin in the body. It is such a thin skin that even blood vessels are directly visible under it.

In case of even slight friction during sex or masturbation, small areas can be seen as reddish or pinkish skin. This can be remain for few weeks to months and then fade away by itself.

I reassure you fully that these kind of marks are totally normal and are not related to any kind of STDs. So relax yourself from any grave possibility.

I suggest you to keep an observation over this area and would see the area will remain stagnant without any increase in size.

I further suggest you to not to unnecessarily touch the area or examine the area as can get inflamed or infected. Just maintain a good hygiene and always use condoms for your own safety.
