Question: xxxxxx has been vomiting since yesterday night. First she vomited around 3 am and then one more in half hour. Later also she continued to spew a bit though not big quantity. Today morning, she has very little XXXXXXX and then we were trying to give her Shikanji (lemon water) when she vomited the entire thing including breakfast. Which means nothing has gone insider her since yesterday afternoon.

Brief Answer:
ORS is the mainstay of treatment.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I have gone carefully through your query. Your daughter had an episode of gastitis, possibly due to viral cause. This could lead to fluid and salt depletion and therfore needs to be treated with ORS (oral rehydration solution) as well as juicy fruits like citrus fruits and bananas. They should replenish the gap and should ease her of her problems and you would need to worry no further. Light diet needs to be given. Curd or yogurt may be given.

You may give her Nexpro XXXXXXX (esomeprazole) for the next few days. You may give ondansetron syrup to control the vomiting.

Feel free to write back.

Regards
Brief Answer:
Please let me know the present weight of the child.

Detailed Answer:
Please mention the body weight of the child and I would suggest you the doses that should be appropriate for her.
