Question: My wife is having seviour neck and shoulder pain for last 15 days. We have visited neurlogist and kept her under observation for 15 days. Inspite of the tablets suggested by doctor and injections, still she has pain over the night. Doctor advised, if needed we may need to go for minor surgery. Could you please advice by seeing the attached report and recommend for any better tips.

Brief Answer:
Take treatment as advised

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone through your question and understand your concern.
The mri report is showing compression of nerve roots which is the cause of neck pain, stiffness and radiation to shoulder.
The drugs should be increased and physiotherapy started.
Decision of surgery should be postponed in absence of any weakness, sensation loss or unbearable pain.
Pregabalin, gabapentin, Amitriptyline can be used in increasing doses.
Pain killers with muscle relaxant like aceclofenac or diclofenac with tizanidine or thiocholchicoside can be taken for relief.
Local pain reliever ointment can also be used like aceclofenac or diclofenac gel.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
