Question: My wife has been in pain for several hours. It is not severe but is persistent. It began in her lower abdomen and stretched from one side to the other. It has moved higher and she has pain now in her abdomen and in her upper back on both sides. She gets some relief by getting out of bed and walking around but is getting exhausted from that and being unable to sleep.
She vomited 4-5 hours ago but not since.
She says she feels gassy but has not passed any gas. She has belched some off and on since.

Brief Answer:
I strongly recommend to call emergency services.

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you for asking!
I read your query and understood your concerns.

From what you are describing your wife may have life threatening abdominal emergencies.

This is why I strongly recommend to call emergency services to send her to ER in order to exclude:
- appendicitis
- bowel obstruction

Hope this will be of help!
Wish you health!

In 2009 again I had low appetite & was diagnosed as GIST, Was Operated & put on Imatinib/Gleevec. In 2010 Sep symptoms started again with small tumours in Stomach, Was again put on Sutent/ Sunitinib. I was doing good till Aug 2012. Now again there are symptoms of re growth. Now I am asked to move to Evertor 10mg. Please let me know what is the way forward & if the tumor stops responding to Evertor is that the end? or is there a life style change which can make impact. I am not a smoker & do not consume alcohol.

I have been having stomach issues for several weeks now. I initially went to a Emergent Care clinic when the pain started. They referred me to a GI specialist. I wasn t able to get in to see the GI specialist for 2 weeks and when I did, after examination they recommended both a colonoscopy & endoscopy which is not scheduled for another couple of weeks. I asked if they were going to give me a scan to rule out anything before the endoscopies and he said he didn t want to subject me to unnecessary radiation if it can be diagnosed with a endoscopy. But that is still several weeks away. I am in a lot of pain, at first it was kind of all over my stomach, then in the center, now localized to the right side. I am not vomiting, but have some acid reflux, gas, and several loose stools and diarrhea each day. The pain is what concerns me as it is sharp shooting and most often right after I eat, but sometimes all the time. After reading some of the symptoms I am concerned about appendicitis. My symptoms started weeks ago. Have they been going on to long to be related to that?
