What causes persistent pain in soft tissues and lower back?

Question: Good morning,
I am a 52 yo caucasian fm. Dx @ age 36 with UC, and Dx later changed to Chrones- moderate to severe. I am in remission- past 3 years, although I have always had soft tissue pain and low back pain, that none ever can give answers for. Also some joint pain. (I am on Humira and Methotrexate). My GI sent me to a Rheumatologist who stated that i had nothing beyond normal arthritic issues for my age. I was baffled. I also have had tingling so I was sent to a neurologist, who ruled out MS with an MRI. My GI is sending me for a 2nd opinion with an Arthritis Doctor.
Is there often an association of Fibromyalgia with Chrones disease. I have rotating soft tissue and joint, or perhaps it is pressure point pain, for years. Sides of neck, low back, knees, toes, fingers, soft tissue in my thighs and upper back, shoulders and low back. I am trying to become more versed on Fibromyalgia. I know that i have thrown much your way, any website and or feedback you have would be most helpful. Also, I work full time, have some depression & anxiety linked to my disease and am an upbeat, generally healthy individual. I am a LMHC and work with military children, I love my job, though as always, there are colleagues that add stress to the work place.
thank you! Laura Rehwaldt

Good evening

Thank you for writing on health care magic

Well, you may be right in diagnosing Fbromyalgia. It is a very common problem especially when you have long standing disease like crohns or any form of disease which lingers on. Somewhere the cycle gets connected and you develop pain all over. It is associated with irritability/forgetfulness/disturbed sleep.
