Question: I have a pain in my lower back area on the right side. It has been there for over a month but seems to be getting stronger. Brief Answer:
Following tests are required to determine the right cause of pain...

Detailed Answer:
Hi my dear,

I am sorry for the pain you are feeling in your lower back area.

As the pain :
- has been persisting for over a month
- seems to be getting stronger,

I advise to run further diagnostic tests to determine the right cause:
- abdominal ultrasound
- urine analysis and kidney/liver function tests to rule out respective problems
- X-ray of vertebral spine (lower back area)
- x-ray of hip joint

For the moment, until you see your doctor and run the suggested tests, I advise to:
- take OTC pain-killers like ibuprofen or naproxen
- apply warm clothing locally
- massage can also help
- light exercises of the hip joint and spine

Wish fast recovery!
