What Causes Persistent Numbness And White Discolouration In A Finger?
Question: I have e one finger that for the last three hours has gone comepletely white and is totally numb

My Impression-
Based on facts of query, In My opinion you seems to have Reynauds Syndrome with white / numb finger.
This is caused secondary to exposure to cold, which causes Severe Vasospasm of the vessels supplying the finger. As a result of this vasospasm, the finger is lack of blood circulation which causes non functioning of the nerves due to lack of oxygen supply to the finger.
Suggestions-
Warm up the hand and the finger by cloth soaked in hot water.
Don't use very hot water/ or extreme heat to warm up the finger.
Rubbing of hand and warming it.
Put on protective hand woolen- gloves to protect it from extreme cold.
Primary Medicinal Remedy -
Take NIFEDIPINE Capsule 10mg three times a day as a beginning which later needed to be titrated as per response.
Apply Nitrogycerine gel locally. All these drugs are prescription based , so you need to check into your local physician to get them.
Hospitalization- if need be-
You may need urgent treatment at hospital with Inj.Lidocaine / Bupivacaine and or / I/V Iloprost Inj. if no relief occurs after these primary measures within a few hours
