Thanks for your follow up question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Since you are nonsmoker, no need to worry for lung cancer.
By your history and description, possibility of viral Upper respiratory tract infection (URTI) is more.
So drink plenty of fluids orally and keep yourself hydrated. Start antihistamines and anti inflammatory drugs. Avoid oily and spicy food. Do warm water gargles 5-6 times a day.
Hope I have solved your query.
I will be happy to help you further.
Wish you good health. Thanks.

Brief Answer:
Yes, lung cancer can be seen with normal stethoscope examination.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your follow up question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Lung cancer develops as small nodule.
Slowly over time, this nodule enlarges.
Upto the size of 1-2 cm, nodule can not be picked up by stethoscope examination.
Once cancer is more than 2-3 cms in size, examination through stethoscope can picked it up.
Besides size, expertise of doctor in respiratory system examination through stethoscope plays very important role.
Pulmonologists are expert in this than gp s.
So please let me know who me have you consulted for this? Is your doctor a pulmonologist or a gp?
Please reply me answers of above asked questions, so that I can guide you better.
I will be happy to help you further.
Wish you good health.
Thanks.
