Question: Hi. years ago i used to have 24 hour episodes of 102 fever, diarrea, and a horible taste going up my esophogus it happened abou once a month and went on for a few years. then it stopped but i had a vry mild ongoing low grade fever never higher than 100. ive been tested for almost everything and gav up on finding an answer... ultrasounds over the last 10 years have come back showing a pattern of intermittent enlarged liver and spleen. (i dont have thelow grade fever anymore for over 3 years.) can i just ignore the hepatoslenomegaly? Is it okay for the body to have an enlarged liver and spleen intrmittently. whenever i was touched by dr or gastro it seems to be my upper left side that hurts and feels bruised only when touched. ive had CMV but the issue began befor the CMV...

Brief Answer:
I dont see any thing to be worried.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Mild hepatosplenomegaly is nothing much to be worried about , if all tests are normal.Left upper quadrant pain on pressure can be due to enlarged spleen.

For low grade fever, have you got checked for tuberculosis. If not, get it done.

Apart from that I dont see anything else is needed.

Please ask if there are doubts.Regards
