Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for your query.
I'm Dr. Shuba Hariprasad and will be answering your query today.

Your symptoms indicate a migraine headache.

Would you please clarify a few things for me?

- Have you had headaches before? With similar intensity and location?
- do you have any other health conditions?any medications for those?
- do the pain meds offer relief even if temporary?
- any vomiting, chest discomfort or breathing difficulty?
- where exactly do you have muscle cramps? Any muscle weakness or asymmetrical facial expressions?
- any giddiness or ringing in the ears?

I would
- get a detailed medical, personal, and family history
-clinically examine you for signs or increased intracranial pressure in addition to a general exam.
- rule out refractive errors of the eye.
- get an MRI of the brain (with MRA - magnetic resonance angiography & MRV- magnetic resonance venogram) to rule out space occupying lesions, arterial or venous disease.

Based on these results and findings a treatment plan would be made.
All headaches must be evaluated, especially sudden and new onset ones. Please see your physician right away. If symptoms worsen, visit the ER

Do not drive or go alone.

Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.

Wish you good health.
Regards,
Dr. Shuba Hariprasad
