default
Posted on Thu, 12 May 2016
Question: Hi! I have question about headache that has been on and off about 1,5 weeks. It is like pressure and pain on my left temple area, side of face, around ear. The biggest pressure is temple area. Occasionally it moves back of head and top of head but mostly temple area. I had it last week and it lasted about 2 days and now I have it again. It started as muscle twitching in my temple. Right side is quite ok. Before I experienced this pain I have had nose pressure and pain behind nose, no runniness though. My neck has been sore and painful in left side as well and my sholder is painful in certain positions. Occasionally I feel pressure in ear as well. My background is overweight and diabetic , a lot of anxiety and lack of sleep lately.
What that headache can be. Is it possible brain tumor or blood clot or anyreism? Occasinally I do feel fullness in jaw but it does not hurt really. Please advise

Brief Answer:
Most likely due to muscle tension.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.

I have noted your symptoms and they are most likely due to muscle tension.

The symptoms are unlikely to be due to brain tumor or blood clot or aneurysm. So, there is no need to worry (I noted that you are anxious). This pain should settle down with pain medications.

I hope my answer helps. Please get back if you have any follow up queries or if you require any additional information.

Wishing you good health,
