Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for writing to us

I am Dr.Kakkar (Dermatologist). I have read your question and I have noted your concern.

In the absence of an discoverable cause Or a precipitating factor for hair fall specially if it is long standing, the reason could be either chronic telogen effluvium or androgenetic alopecia. In chronic telogen effluvium the growth cycle is reset and the anagen phase i.e growth phase appears to be shortened, manifesting as increased shedding. On the other hand, in androgenetic alopecia, hair also becomes finer/ thinner (miniaturisation) in addition to shrotening of anagen cycle manifesting as decreased hair volume as well as increased shedding.
If I was the treating doctor I would suggest you to use topical minoxidil 5% solution, 1 ml twice daily, at scalp skin.
In addition I would also suggest a tablet of biotin supplement once daily e.g Revilus tablet or Trichogro tablet.
Treatment needs to be continued long term i.e 4-6 months.
These are prescription medications and I suggest that you use them under supervision of a doctor in your vicinity.

Regards
