Noise in ear and dizziness can happen by a few causes. The most common cause we think, especially if it is for less than 2 weeks and you have no other signs; is a viral infection. Sometimes viral infections might affect the ear and cause noise in ear and may make you feel dizzy but in this case most of the times you should improve by the second week and also you should not have other symptoms like neurological signs (numbness or weakness in your limbs, problems with vision, problems with swallowing or speech).

If you have noise in ear and dizziness and also have any of the neurological signs mentioned above, you might need to have a visit with your doctor and have a neurological examination to make sure you are well and rule out other causes of your symptoms.

If your symptoms are for longer than 2 weeks but you have none of the neurological symptoms mentioned above than it might be considered if aspirine is causing you the ear noise and dizziness. You should not stop it on your own though, it is very important for you to take it but you can talk with your doctor to see if it might be the cause and if possible if it can be substituted with something else.

If longer than 2 weeks with these symptoms some tests might be advisable also:
- audiograme (to rule out problems with the hearing)
- CBC to rule out anemia
- TSH (to check thyroid)
- metabolic panel like fasting glucose, lipids, creatinine, ALT, (if you have not had those tests in the last year or two)
- rarely your doctor might ask for an MRI or CT of the head (generally if examinaiton is not normal, or you have neurological complaint mentioned above)
