What Causes Painful Urination?
Question: hello I am 45 years old and recently started taking levothroxin about 3 months ago and I just started having painfull urination soon as the pee gets to the hole it stings pretty bad and then stops please help

Noted your concern.
I guess you are taking Levothyroxine for hypothyroidism.
Your symptoms of painful urination indicates either a urinary stone or infection. The best thing to do is to get your urine checked for presence of infection or crystals. For now, drink plenty of fluids and you can even take Cranberry juice mixed with water 100 ml Three times a day for next few days. If the urine test shows infection, you may need a urine culture and start on antibiotics.

I have nevr had a urinary tract infection could this be side effect of levothroxine ?

No. Levothyroxine will not cause this. Since your cervix and Uterus have been removed, the ovaries may cease it's function ( even though they are left in place).
This can be confirmed by doing a fasting "FSH" test between 7 to 9 am. If the FSH is high ( > 20) , that means the ovaries stopped functioning.
Once the ovaries stop functioning, vagina loses its normal lubrication and the normal Acidic PH. This will make the inside of vagina very thin and infection can get in. If this is the case, ( which need an FSH test and vaginal examination to confirm), you may benefit from HRT or vaginal estrogen cream
