Emergency ultrasound

Hi,

I understand the situation you are in.
Is the pain all of a sudden? is there swelling of testicles? Are you sexually active for last few days?
did you get hurt in that region?
Any pain in the testicles, we see it as emergency especially in young man like you..

Brief Answer:
Ultrasound of scrotum and abdomen

Detailed Answer:
hi

sorry for delay.

you should get ultrasound scan of abdomen and scrotum as soon. I suspect an injury to the scrotum. on the basis of contents and size of it treatment depends.

let me know the result of abdomen.

Hi, I visited a doctor today and after an examination I was diagnosed with orchitis. Unfortunately, I was told there is no cure but I can use ice to help reduce the swelling.

Answered by Dr. V. N. S. Parinam 5 hours later
Brief Answer:
Pain killers, ice and antibiotics

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

We knew it to be orchitis the whole idea of doctor visit was to find the reason for orchitis. Is it because of infection, injury and is it the fluid that increased the size of testis.

However you can use pain killers like Ibuprofen for pain, ice for swelling size. Viral orchitis spontaneously respond with symptomatic treatment.

I gave a call to the doctor today and was told they believe it to be a viral infection of my testicles.

I asked them about the swelling in my penis which they were unsure about. I am supposed to follow up with them in a few days to see if I am still having symptoms.

Detailed Answer:
I think you should rest. consume more fluids to flush out any residual infection. ice application and pain killers would be helpful. It takes a week to reduce the pain n swelling. tight undergarments help with pain.

follow with your doctor.

My condition is improving but because of the swelling I have not been able to retract my foreskin for a few days now. Is this normal?
doctor
Answered by Dr. V. N. S. Parinam 1 hour later
Brief Answer:
Sounds normal

Detailed Answer:
hi

you cannot retract foreskin and it's normal. all the neighbour tissues are under inflammation so you cannot really masturbate as well.

it takes another two weeks.

Ok, that makes sense. Is there anything I can do to make sure it doesn't get infected? I am a little worried because I usually clean the tip of my penis in the shower each day.

My 10 year old son was taken to the ER this past Wednesday morning at about 2 AM because he was complaining about a headache the night before (tuesday evening). However, that Tuesday night I just figured that I would treat it like a normal headache, and didnt do much about it. Then at about 130AM he came into the room holding his head, screaming about his head being sore. when asked to give a number on a scale of 1-10, he said his pain was an 8. i immediately took him to the nearest ER to be seen. When his vitals were taken, they said his blood pressure was unusually high. I dont remember the exact numbers unfortunately. He was given a shot for the headache, and while at the ER he fell asleep and when he awoke he seemed to be all better, in fact, pretty much normal. Of course, since then we have been keeping a close eye one him. He was kept home from school that Wednesday and Thursday, and we tried to eat more healthy foods. On Thursday he was fine, he was active, happy, and asked if he could return to school. so, on Friday, which was yesterday, he went back to school as usual. It is now Saturday January 18, 2014 @ 218AM here in Honolulu, Hawaii. About an hour ago, around 1:00 am he woke/up/ and started crying telling me that his head hurt as he was holding his head. I asked him to rate his pain he said about 5-6. I gave him one 200mg Ibuprofen tablet and some water and massaged his temples as he lay in my lap. I talked to him just to kind of take his mind off of the pain. When i took his blood pressure with a wrist cuff that I have his BP was 150/100 something (i didnt think to write it down at that time, but I know it was somewhere around there). I was definitely alarmed!!!! Luckily, he fell asleep, and as he was sleeping I took his BP again. It read: 124/75 HR: 89. I GUESS MY QUESTION IS: WHAT SHOULD I DO, AND IS HE ALRIGHT HERE AT HOME SLEEPING? OR SHOULD I TAKE HIM TO THE ER? ........and WHAT IS YOUR DIAGNOSIS?

About 48 hours ago I did some very heavy, nearly impossible lifting, and I felt pain immediately in my knees. Now my right knee is swollen and bruises are popping out all around it. I am resting today with my leg elevated, ice on my knee, and I ve taken some ibuprofen. I ve rubbed ICY HOT on my knee and later some arnica. Am I doing enough or is this more serious than I realize?
