I get some on the side of my tongue a lot. Are these sores normal?! And to get them sometimes normal? I have been reading online and everytime i see sores it says STD, Herpes and its freaking me out. I am a virgin and have a boyfriend but he tested negative from all diseases. Please help. What can i do to make them go away?

This is the third time ive had these sores on my tongue. One was last August, and second was about a month ago and now. They do go away. I have given my boyfriend oral sex and the last time was a couple months ago but he is negative from diseases. I was on birth control for almost a year, recently stopped because of bad side effects. My grandmother has diabetes. No rash, my vagina did itch a little but always does before my period. No fever, vomiting, or diarrgea in a long time.

Brief Answer:
Most probably stress induced sores

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thank you for getting back with the answers. I have gone through them.

Its unlikely to be STDs so first thing that you need to do is RELAX. Stress/anxiety almost always aggravates the problem. These sores are most probably due to stress. They reappear again and again at the time of stress and regresses later. They usually does not require any particular treatment BUT as they are painful so local anesthetic gel is applied. If i were your treating doctor then i would have advised Lignocaine 2% Gel. You might need a prescription for it.

Method of application:

1. Wash mouth with plain water and dry the sore area with tissue.
2. Now apply gel over the sore. Initially you might feel burning sensation but it will last only for few seconds.
3. Wait for 30-60sec
4. Then wash mouth with plain water.

Repeat these steps 2-3times a day. Hopefully you will see improvement in 1-2 days.

Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help if not then don't forget to close the discussion and rate it.
Wishing you good health !!

Brief Answer:
yes it is normal; if no other symptom present

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Sure you can ask as many questions as you want. I'll be available 24/7 for your support.

When you are on birth control pill then it alters the hormonal levels of the body. As a result most females have heavy menses. After stopping the pills it takes some time for the hormonal levels to come back to normal levels. Till then cycle may become irregular or light. You need not to worry.

Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help if not then don't forget to close the discussion and rate it.
