default
Posted on Mon, 4 May 2015
Question: My legs ache, like growing pains almost. Same in both legs, worse at rest. This has been happening for a couple months. Have tried: exercise (walking), tonic water, more sleep, massage, chiropractic and have spoken with my doctor. My diet and lifestyle are excellent. I do Yoga and ride horses, live a clean life in the country. I eat out of my vegetable garden. I am fit and active and a normal weight.

Brief Answer:
May need thyroid dose adjusted.

Detailed Answer:

Hi
Thanks for your query

I'm Dr Sudhir Kumar

I have gone through your query and understand your concern. You have two possibilities. One is your thyroid level may not be normal as you have Hashimotosis. Probably you need dose adjusted as low thyroid hormone can cause such pains. Second possibility is vitamin D deficiency as vitamin D deficiency can cause such pains. If found low you can take supplements of vitamin D3. Till then you can take analgesic( already taking) and vitamin and trace elements supplements.

You can discuss with your doctor about it.

Hope your query get answered. If you have any clarification then I will be happy to help you.

Wishing you a good health.
Take care.
